My first Garden....

by R. Hanson
(West Virginia)

With the economy the way it is, i began to wonder what it would be like to go back and do some things the old way.

I just finished my first year of growing my own garden. I must say that I'm hooked. It's something that I always wanted to do, and now that I've had the chance I realize that it is well worth it.

I've not only eaten more veggies this year than ever before, but my children were able to help and learn. They acted as if they weren't interested, but I could tell that they loved it.

Just wanted to drop my story and tell everyone that one day we may have to go back to the basics, so brush up and stay in tune with the world....

My First Year also
by: PonyRyd

This is our first year also, and some plants did better than others. It is great having the fresh veggies every week. Next year we will spend a little more research time on the plants that didn't do so well, plus we want to try more heirloom varieties.

Gardens
by: Daniel Skidds

they are so much fun and rewarding. I hope you continue with the success. Word of advice, start planning in February and March for a great garden next season. Plus it gives you something to do in the middle of winter. I used the internet to order my seeds and then bought my seed trays from WalMart.
