Series or parallel?

Rick, I'm building a portable solar generator for power back-up; to run a tv, fireplace fans, a couple lights and to charge a laptop, iPad and cell phones. So far I have 2 100aH AMG batteries and plan on purchasing 2 100 watt solar panels. Would series or parallel be the best way to wire these up? I'm not an electrician so please keep it simple.

Thanks,
Russ

parallel for 12 volts
by: Anonymous

parallel keeps the voltage at 12 volts and doubles the amps, or capacity of the battery so that is how you want to hook everything up.
